In the meantime… Let me tell you about Madison…
Madison’s story broke my heart.
She had gone through an awful divorce that had left her feeling shattered inside.
She had thought her life was going fine, and then her husband told her he didn’t want to be with her anymore. She felt like a piece of trash, thrown away without a thought and, just as bad, she felt like a complete idiot for not seeing it coming.
Her town wasn’t very big, and she would see her ex walking hand-in-hand with his new girlfriend, which made her feel like throwing up. She wanted to jump out of the car and either scream at him, or beg him to come back.
Instead, she just went home and cried. Her life had somehow gone all wrong.
As they were splitting up everything they owned, the thought that this wasn’t her home anymore made her sick. It wasn’t easy, but she decided it was time to take all her belongings and move back to the place where she had grown up, a thousand miles away.
Now, in addition to feeling sad, alone, and like a failure, she had to deal with all the stress that uprooting your life can bring with it.
Madison found herself at an all-time low, emotionally, spiritually, financially, and even physically. Everything she had thought she could count on was gone.
Now she was living with her parents, something she never thought she would do again, pretty much hiding in her room, and only coming out to go to the minimum wage job that was all she had been able to find.
Her ex had made enough to allow her to take care of their home, so she hadn’t had a job in a long time, and she didn’t feel like there was much she could offer to the big companies that were hiring.
Madison was stressed-out, her sadness wasn’t getting any less, and she felt like she was at a dead end. Her life felt completely aimless.
Anxiety had never really been a part of Madison’s life before, but now it showed up with spinning thoughts about a dark and hopeless future, fear that others were judging her, or sad thoughts that no one really cared about her because she wasn’t worth caring for.
Spending so much time sitting alone in her room, she had developed a habit of pulling at her eyelashes and eyebrows.
The motion had become deceptively soothing, except when there was nothing left to pull, or when she was looking in the mirror and could see that she had no brows left. Then her anxiety would rise again, increasing her thoughts of not being good enough.
Her anxiousness had gotten to an all-time high, causing her pulling habit to decimate her hair, which increased her anxiety even more, and the cycle continued to spin out of control.
She went on a few job interviews hoping for something more, but she kept getting rejected, and her feelings of worthlessness deepened even more. She stopped looking; she just didn’t think she was good enough to get anything new.
There was no point.
Madison’s mother had watched her daughter spiraling down into deeper and deeper despair, and she was alarmed for her daughter’s well-being.
She contacted me to see if I could help.

Now, back to Madison…
With hypnosis, Madison stopped pulling her hair right away, with only occasional flare-ups, which she now had tools to effectively deal with.
As we continued through her program, she learned to notice the mean or scary thoughts that popped up and replace them with more empowering thoughts.
And she got the new tools and mindset that
When I checked in with her a few months after we completed her program, she said,
“Things are going great! My experience with you led to big changes in my life, including a new boyfriend and a new job! I overcame those bad habits, and am so much better at dealing with issues that come up. I’ve felt more centered than ever before, I can see my own path more clearly, and my life has changed in drastic ways for the better!”
